Sullivan
The mechanical heart of the Lonely Winds, Sullivan is also in many ways a surrogate mother to the members of the team. She represents the pinnacle of engineering and artificial intelligence on Rond. Countless millions were spent to make the independently operating, multi-functional automaton a reality. Where George acquired Sullivan from remains a mystery. Even among the wealthy, robotic majordomos are hardly common. George, as is typical, refuses to comment at length on the subject, saying only that “Sullivan has proven herself worth the effort to make her possible”.
She was built in 2037 T.E., before any of the currently active Lonely Winds were part of the team. An unmarked delivery truck arrived at George Manor’s gate one morning and unceremoniously dropped off a large crate. George had not told the Winds of what he was up to, as is his habit, and they were more than a little surprised when the crate was opened to reveal a fog gray, slightly feminine robot. With a simple command, George activated Sullivan, and “she” immediately began to adapt to working with the team. Although the team was wary of her at first, her easy-going nature and disarming manner soon put them at ease. Before long she was acting as George’s right hand, helping him to monitor the mental and physical health of the monster-slaying inhabitants of the Mansion while at the same time performing domestic activities with a matronly gentleness that belied her mechanical precision.
She remains an integral part of the team to this day, ever supportive of the team as they perform their draining life’s work. She is equal parts house keeper, combat medic, psychologist and scientific curiosity, and she never fails to be there for the team in whatever capacity is needed.
