Links

This section is devoted to links to sites I frequently patronize, feel are important or just plain enjoy.

Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com)
This is my book‘s listing on Amazon.com. They have a number of copies available from various sources, and feature a substantial discount. Check them out!

Infinity Publishing (www.infinitypublishing.com)
An independent publishing company (who published my book.)

Buy Books on the Web (www.buybooksontheweb.com)
The independent bookstore on the web (where you can buy my book. Plug plug plug.)

Mr Gone’s Site (http://www.menchhofer.com/chris/)
This is the home site of a friend of mine. He's such a nice guy that he has a "cult" following on his favorite forum. He's a fan of the horror role-playing games produced by White Wolf Publishing, and he uses this site to post the character sheets he makes himself for the games. Check them out!

Lord Bob’s site (home.wideopenwest.com/~lordbob1462//)
This is another forum pal of mine, the great Lord Bob. We differ philosophically on many issues, but I greatly respect his thoughtful nature and keen native intelligence. This site is a blog, a fansite and a general journal of thoughts. Check it out if you have the time!

Sluggy Freelance (www.sluggy.com)
This is the home of my all-time favorite webcomic. Sluggy Freelance is a unique and original production by a man with an incredible sense of humor, who just happens to also be a terrific storyteller. Is it not nifty? Worship the comic!

Ozy and Millie (www.ozyandmillie.org)
Another fantastic webcomic. Mr. Simpson is a deep and insightful philosopher who expresses his views and humor through the endearing adventures of anthorpomorphic fox children. Look for the ever amusing Llewellyn, who is largely an inspiration for my own character, George Manor.

Bob and George (www.bobandgeorge.com)
Yet another amazing web comic creation. This began as a simple hand-drawn comic, but metamorphosized into one of the first (if not THE first) sprite comic, using images from the “Mega Man” franchise. The creator and writer is a tremendously witty and thoughtful humorist with a penchant for great running gags and insightful self-referential humor, and is a nice guy besides. Go ahead and hit the link…it’s only one button.

PVP (www.pvponline.com)
The roster of great webcomics continues. This is another of my old favorites, the story of a beleagured boss, his quirky employees, a four hundred pound blue troll, and the gaming magazine they occasionally manage to work on. Panda attack!

8-Bit Theater (http://www.nuklearpower.com/latest.php)
Another great web-comic. This is a “sprite comic” that uses images from the classic Nintendo game “Final Fantasy.” A lot of the humor is in-joke driven, but the writing is great and the wit is incomparable. Check it out if you love a good laugh at a primary character’s expense. HADOKEN!

Absurd Notions (http://www.absurdnotions.org/index.html)
A web-comic for thinkers. No silly talking animals, no sentient curly fries, just sharp wit and the wackiness that can occur from some of the bizarreness of living. This one is sporadically updated as of late, but it’s well worth checking out! If you’re not sure how to measure your angst, you can always use angstroms.

Real Life (http://www.reallifecomics.com/index.php)
Another terrific display of humor. This comic is entirely based on the artist’s actual life experiences. Except for the time machine. And the evil sentient desktop computers. And the shirt ninja. Look, just read it, ok?

Homestar Runner.com (http://www.homestarrunner.com/)
This, ladies and gentlemen, is in a class all its own. I am pleased to present to you the greatest flash cartoon site ever produced. It is funny, original, completely inoffensive, fun for the whole family and wildly entertaining. There are games, running gags, cool merchandise and more cartoons than you or your grandmother can handle. Check out the “First Time here?” button on the main page for a quick intro, then have at it. I highly recommend the holiday shorts and the Strong Bad emails. What are you still doing here? Go check it out!
