All I have to say is "Why didn't Ichigo say anything sooner?" Of course, he may have and Aizen just didn't let anyone hear him. Which begs the question: "Why didn't Ichigo attack Aizen while everyone else was otherwise occupied?"

Hell, even tearing Gin a new one while Aizen wasn't looking would have been more productive than just sitting there. Even if he can't really fight Aizen, he could at least have a shot at removing the ol' sniper threat.

That's a point. Why hasn't Gin done anything? *facepalm*

So, here's something interesting.
http://www.radicalcomics.com/titles/comics/incarnate
Now, what does this have to do with Bleach, you ask?
Let's check out some of the art.

Some of it's not that bad, and simply having a similar art style is okay. The issue is that a couple of character designs are straight ripoffs, and some of it's blatantly traced.
I'm kinda tempted to try and find some of the actual comics, even, because at this juncture, I'm not sure how bad the tracey-stealy problem is here.
edit: Looking real closely, I don't think those Kenpachi panels are traced, just copied.

Radical's response in regards to Incarnate
We at Radical Publishing, Inc. and Radical Comics, Inc. are quite concerned to hear the news surrounding Nick Simmons’s Incarnate Comic Book. We are taking this matter seriously and making efforts now to contact the publishers of the works in question in an effort to resolve this matter. We have halted further production and distribution of the “Incarnate” comic book and trade paperback until the matter is resolved to the satisfaction of all parties. Rest assured that Radical is taking swift action regarding this matter and will continue in its efforts to maintain the integrity and protect the intellectual property of artists throughout the world whose creative works are the bedrock of our Company and the comic book industry.

So, they're looking into it. But they wouldn't be doing so, and halting production of the comic to boot, if there wasn't a case.

Also, someon'es compiled a gallery on Facebook.

oh my god thats some hilarious outrage on the wall of that profile. someone who is aparently Nick Simmons is posting on there some massive defence on every single point and saying he's never heard of bleach or ever read any manga, but according to someone whos done his research, Simmons has said that his favourite comic is Beserk or something. Its some epic trolling failure.

oh, and for more comparisons and for some lining up of pages from incarnate and bleach http://community.livejournal.com/bleachness/446299.html although some of the images are comparing with the wrong bleach pictures, like the one compared with chad punching, ive seen it compared with hollow 2 ichigo and its more of a copy of that.

Yeah, that 'Nick Simmons''s picture is like the third pic on Google images. He's still funny, though. I wanna keep him in a little troll-box.

Some of the Incarnate images are composites, though, like the punching one you mentioned. The arm looks a lot like Chad's, the face design isn't traced but still definitely copied from H2 Ichigo.

It is interesting watching this whole thing steamroll along, though. Kubo's even made Twitter posts about it [though reportedly, his reaction's more along the lines of 'Wow, Gene Simmons has a son?' ]. If only the fandom could put its powers to the use of good more often -_-

For more lulz, check out his DevArt. People are flaming him to kingdom come, and he [quite smartly] isn't responding. Of note: he doesn't have any Bleach-related favourites [in keeping with his 'never heard of Bleach' story], and his artwork doesn't really resemble Incarnate much...

Not wanting to double post, but no one has for a while so im hoping its ok. On his deviant art, i found this:

Favourite artist: Kentarō Miura / Tsutomu Nihei / Yoshiyuki Sadamoto.

is it wrong that on his interests i want to photoshop in "stealing art" and next to "favourite style of art" i want to put "tracing".

meh, from the information ive gathered from things like the escapist report on it to the facebook page and most things inbetween, half the things on that article are correct, so i personally have no problem with using that one article as another link with info people may have not seen yet. And if anyone on here does, they can do what you've done, choose to not follow the link or suck it up.

It's on a wiki model, so any troll can edit it.
Take it not for factual information, but indeed, dabble in its waters to catch a few good lulz.

Although, your link took me to 'Nick Simmon' [no last 's'], which is a blank page.
http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Nick_Simmons
^ better link.

Also, here's Nick's official statement, if you're in the mood for vaguely-worded lawyerspeak and deflection that apologises for, and admits to, exactly nothing:
Like most artists I am inspired by work I admire. There are certain similarities between some of my work and the work of others. This was simply meant as an homage to artists I respect, and I definitely want to apologize to any Manga fans or fellow Manga artists who feel I went too far. My inspirations reflect the fact that certain fundamental imagery is common to all Manga. This is the nature of the medium.

I am a big fan of Bleach, as well as other Manga titles. And I am certainly sorry if anyone was offended or upset by what they perceive to be the similarity between my work and the work of artists that I admire and who inspire me.

...and if anything, this has just made the fanbase angrier, proving that people in the real world do not understand us angry wapanese weaboos, kawaii desu desu.
