I think that's the sword he used Magic Fang on to see. He stuck it upright to light around him when he switched to the bow, remember?

You mean the glowing thing in the last panel? As WB said, it's just the sword - he's not throwing it, it's stuck where he left it, but was behind Thac0 in the second-to-last panel (although you'd think the light'd show up). The panel before, he's just reaching out towarda Thac0.

No, no it is not behind Thac0. It appears a good 5'-10' away from Goblinslayer, where it wasn't before.

The panel before, he's just reaching out towarda Thac0.

The panel before, it's too dark to make anything out of it.

But it isn't moving. Look at how far they moved in the course of that fight. See panel four in this comic, where they are beside the third ladder from the dead end. See the ladders in the last panel of the newest one? Only two. He was in the furthest section in the second to last panel, the one with the Goblin Slayer in it. The sword is in the ground by the second ladder away from the Goblin Slayer. It wasn't behind Thaco in the second to last panel, he hadn't moved past it yet. They just fought all over the place. Nothing is being thrown. Judging from the fact that the ladders were not visible at all in the second to last panel, it's a good 40'-60' away, right where he left it.
